Chris Wellington
Chief Executive Officer

Chris is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of all GRDC operations including management of two business incubators, GRDC’s loan portfolio and programs, workforce development activities, business retention and recruitment efforts. Chris also works closely with Grafton County’s 39 municipalities to identify and achieve their unique economic development priorities.

Prior to joining GRDC, Chris worked for the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development assisting businesses of all sizes with issues impacting their ability to start or expand. He also spent four years with the City of Manchester’s Economic Development Office handling all marketing, recruitment and retention efforts for the city. Chris earned his Bachelors degree and Master of Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

A native of New Hampshire, Chris is dedicated to meeting the changing needs of the business community and assisting communities in Grafton County reach their economic development priorities and goals.

Bob Walker
Loan Officer

Bob is responsible for originating, analyzing and managing loans within the GRDC loan portfolio. He works regularly with businesses throughout Grafton County to help them navigate the commercial loan process and find the financing they need.

Bob is a retired banker who joined GRDC in 2007, with 39 years of experience in banking and financial management. He also has 9 years of experience running his own business, having owned and operated a three store retail business in Vermont.

Karen Saunders

Karen joined GRDC in 2009 and is responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping. This includes maintenance and management of all financial transactions within the organization. Karen successfully organized and implemented the installation of internal software, which manages and organizes all loan client financial activity.

Karen also serves as the Treasurer for the Town of Gilford and enjoys bookkeeping for many local businesses and professionals.


Joe Huzar
Marketing and Program Coordinator

Joe is responsible for executing the overall marketing plan and raising awareness of GRDC and its efforts to promote economic development throughout the region. He also works with the Enterprise Center at Plymouth to grow and improve the Small Business Seminar Series that is held throughout Grafton County.

Prior to joining GRDC, Joe worked for Littleton Coin Company as a Continuity Program Coordinator and for Presby Environmental as their Marketing and Media Coordinator. He is a Graduate of Plymouth State University and upon graduating decided to relocate to the area from Connecticut.

GRDC is led by a dedicated group of fifteen engaged volunteers who believe in a better future for Grafton County. They are diverse leaders; coming from many different industries, backgrounds, and geographic areas within Grafton County.
